Supporting npower's engagement campaign as an official energy partner
To activate its exclusive Fan Energy tariff for Wasps Rugby, Wasps Netball and Wigan Warriors fans, npower recruited Sports Sphere to support its marketing and product teams. The resultant fan engagement programme is a campaign called ‘Fan Super Powers’ – a way to investigate the impact of fans’ energy on the team’s on-pitch performance.
For each club we rallied 50 Super Fans, gave them each a Fitbit and measured their heart rates for 3 matches. We also measured the noise in the stadium and social media chatter and then correlated the results with what happened on the pitch – the result was Fan Energy quantified!
